New plt for Contest Area and PZ2
The plt for the Northing Line (EW) 6100 which I published before somehow moved itself. Attached please find a new one.
Also here are new plt for the 10NM radius and for PZ2 Piacenca.
I realized that reloading those plt into my Ozi Explorer they sometimes are displaced slightly. So the plt are for your orientation only.
The limits for the Contest area are bound by a circle with its center point on coordinates 5710/7355 and a radius of 10 nautical miles (18.52 km) and in the south of the map by the Northing Line (EW) 6100 (whichever is closer to the center point). Please make sure those limits are shown on your map.
The limits for for PZ2 Piacenca. are Easing lines (NS) 5200 and 5800 and Northing Lines (EW) 8700 and 9000
Correted Coordinates of CLP, Center and PZ4
The Coordinates of CLP, Center and PZ4 which are printed in the rules are incorrect.
Please correct them to:
center point coordinates: 5710/7355
CLP coordinates: 5665/7347 480 ft MSL
PZ4 coordinates: 8347/9812
The points in the waypoint list 'PZ CLP.wpt' are correct.

FAI Cat 2 Event
As the AERONAUTICA MILITARE BALLOON CUP – 2nd Edition is a FAI Cat 2 Event, the competitors must hold a valid FAI License. Pls make sure your License is valid when the event starts.
As a consequence being a FAI Cat 2 Event, Respectful Flying Score will be applied.
COMPETITION STRUCTURE
The competition will be conducted using physical markers and electronic marks produced by the Balloon Live App and Sensor.
Be sure to bring your Balloon Live Sensor and have the Balloon Live App Installed on a mobile phone you will use during the flights.
Pls read carefully II.18 in the rules.
On https://balloonlive.org/ you can make yourself familiar with the Balloon Live App and even do some training.
Contest Area
The Contest Area is bounded by a circle with its center point on coordinates 5676/7371 and a radius of 10 nautical miles (18.52 km) and in the south of the map by the Northing Line (EW) 6100 (whichever is closer to the center point). There are two trk files of the limits for you to display on your map.
PZ
In the rules there is a list with 13 PZ.
PZ0 and PZ1 are blue and show the upper limit you are allowed to fly inside and outside the competition area.
PZ2 is red above the City of Piacenca. It has a rectangle format with the corners 5200/9000, 5800/9000, 5800/8700 and 5200/8700. A trk file is available for you to make it visible on your map.
PZ3 to PZ7 are red and standard cylinder shape.
PZ8 to PZ12 are motorways, river and railroad. We intend not to activate those 5 PZ. However they are in reserve and may be activated on demand.

The map is the same as last year. The grid lines printed on the map are not the WGS 84 system we will use, so please disregard them. (The offset is 66 m EW and 200 m NS)
The calibration of the map is WGS 84 and adjusted to match as good as possible with the reality. However you will not have to choose intersections as goals, so a possible offset is not so important.
