New version of the App (android)
Dear Pilots,
Thank you for volunteering to participate in the Android Internal Beta for the official Balloon Live app. As we prepare for the upcoming national and world championships, your real-world testing is absolutely critical. This is your opportunity to directly influence the app's development and ensure it is the most reliable, effective tool possible for you to use in competition.
Here is everything you need to get set up and start testing.
Update the App: Once you have opted in, navigate to the Google Play Store to download or update to the newest version of the app: Update via Google Play Store

MANDATORY: SafeSky or Transponder for all flights
All pilots are required to have either a functioning transponder or an active SafeSky account during every flight of this championship.
This is a mandatory requirement under Lithuanian aviation regulations.
Pilots without a transponder must register on SafeSky before the first flight:
1. Download SafeSky app (iOS / Android)
2. Register at safesky.app
3. Enter your aircraft registration
4. Activate tracking before each flight and keep it running throughout

COH 2026 – Key Changes from Version 2025
The Competition Operations Handbook has been updated to Version 2026. Main changes relevant to competitors:
· Supplementary briefings (2.4.9): Rules for electronic dissemination of task data clarified. Minor amendments may be sent electronically min. 20 min before launch period (ILP) or 10 min (CLA).
· Violet flag (2.5.1): Now officially indicates that further information has been transmitted via WhatsApp.
· Dangerous Flying – Limit 4 (R10.2): Trigger threshold changed from 5 to 10 consecutive seconds exceeding 8 m/s vertical ascent speed.
· RFS: Doubled penalties for repeated offences now count only once toward the Respectful Flying Score.

Welcome to the 34th Lithuanian – Latvian Hot Air Balloon Championship!
We are pleased to welcome all competitors, officials and guests to Birštonas for this year's championship.
The official Event Rules (AXMER Version 2026) are now available on the Official Notice Board. All competitors are required to read and familiarize themselves with the rules prior to the General Briefing.
