Opening ceremony and general briefing
Posted: 21 October 2019 - 16:13
The opening ceremony will be held at the
Iglesia y claustro de Sant Vicenç Ferrer, a church and cloister which is now a museum. The ceremony starts at 12.30pm. There will be a finger buffet after the official opening. We suggest you leave trailers at the briefing centre and drive down to either park in nearby streets or the underground car park indicated (maximum height for vehicles is 2.00 metres). We advice you to try to share cars as much as possible as parking spaces are limited. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the church from there and probably 5-10 minutes to drive from the briefing centre to the centre of Manacor.
The ceremony and buffet should end about 14.15.
The General Briefing will start at 15.00 at the Briefing Centre (Grid ref. 1896 7929) followed by the first task briefing at 16.00
A map indicating the place of the opening ceremony and underground car park is attached

Updated plan for parking at Hotel Castell dels Hams
Posted: 21 October 2019 - 09:47
Parking at the hotel will be tight. Please respect other guests. There is a one way system around the rear of the property and you will see there is quite a lot of parking area around the back. The bus operates all day so access to the front of the hotel needs to be kept clear. The yellow line stating BUS means you are not allowed to park beyond that line. Also DO NOT BLOCK the gas tanker entry and exit to the refuelling point at any time.
Parking at Briefing Centre
Posted: 21 October 2019 - 09:44
This is an updated plan. Parking will be tight so please be considerate. The local homeowners know you are coming so they expect their streets to be crowded.
We expect the police to help us exit the parking area onto the main road around Manacor

Lay out of Briefing Centre
Posted: 16 October 2019 - 12:13
The briefing hall has several entrances. The main entrance
leads to the upstairs area for crew and there are toilets on the ground floor
and first floor areas. There is a small snack bar that may be open in the
entrance hall - certainly in the afternoons.
Pilots should enter through their designated door around the
side as we hope to scan your identity cards in to make roll call much quicker.
Crew chiefs can enter through the other side door but will also be checked.
Other crew can find seats upstairs on the balcony.
Route for gas refuelling
Posted: 16 October 2019 - 12:04
There will be a one way system for gas refuelling with the entrance as shown in the diagram. Please queue up on the left had side of the road.
Addendum: The tanker will now be on the parking lot where the retrieves would be stopping to off load so you will be directed straight on where you will then offload and bring your tanks through the gaps in the hedge or around to the refuelling hoses. There will be 24 refuelling points.

Briefing sheet for retrieving in Mallorca
Posted: 22 September 2019 - 10:37
Mallorca will be as challenging to your retrieve as it may be to you. Most of the side roads are single file with few passing places. Please bring this briefing sheet to the attention of your retrieve crew as it contains some useful advice
