Toscana Hot Air Balloon Open Championship 2025

We are pleased to invite you to the Toscana Hot Air Balloon Open Championship 2025, an international competition held in the heart of Tuscany, surrounded by the unique landscapes of the Valdichiana and the Tuscan hills.

Tuscany needs no introduction – from excellent food to breathtaking views, we look forward to welcoming you. 

For all pilots who would like to enjoy Tuscany from above, it’s possible to arrange extra flights in stunning areas such as Siena and Chianti. Just get in touch at least 3 days in advance – we’ll be more than happy to make this unforgettable experience happen!

The competition will begin on Wednesday, October 8 in the morning with the first competitive flight and will conclude on Saturday, October 11 in the evening with the final task.

The entry fee is symbolic: €150.

• Pilot package (gadgets and useful competition materials)

• Daily weather and flight briefings

• Welcome and prize-giving ceremony

Prize Fund:

Total fund of 1750 €  (1st place: 1000€; 2nd place: 500€; 3rd place: 250€)

• 1st place: €1,000

• 2nd place: €500

• 3rd place: €250

Registration:

• Open to international pilots with a valid FAI sporting license and a minimum of 50 flight hours

• Limited to 30 teams

• Mandatory use of BalloonLiveSensor and BalloonLive App

• Registration via WatchMeFly

• Deadline: September 30, 2025

• Registration will be confirmed upon receipt of the entry fee

Gas Information

Propane will be provided at a discounted price and can be paid at the end of refueling.

Refueling before the first competition flight will be available in the morning during check-in hours.
The last refueling will take place on Saturday evening, before the final competitive flight.

Outside the competition schedule, both before and after the event, pilots will be able to refuel LPG by contacting the organization.
