Puglia Balloon Cup 2027 – Italian Hot Air Balloon Pre-Championship
3–8 August 2027 | Gravina in Puglia & Matera, Italy 🇮🇹

Dear Pilots,

Following the success of the first Puglia Balloon Cup, we are delighted to welcome you back to Southern Italy for our 2027 edition!

In 2026, we flew on all six competition mornings: six flights out of six. It was a memorable first edition, bringing together international teams among the canyons, ravines and open landscapes of Puglia.

In 2027, we will take the competition further, with flights over Gravina in Puglia and selected flights over Matera, offering teams the chance to discover two remarkable flying areas across Puglia and neighbouring Basilicata.

The Puglia formula is simple: compete in the morning, explore for the rest of the day.

Morning competition flights will feature tasks selected by the Competition Director. Afterwards, you and your crew will be free to discover Puglia and the surrounding regions: historic towns, Mediterranean beaches, local food and the hospitality of Southern Italy.
